My 04 hd had the pedal go to the floor but it was because the every hard line ruptured.

2005 chevy 2500 hd 4x4 wt.
With truck running pump the brake pedal several times and hold pressure on pedal after third pump.
My thinking it is the master cylinder.
I have hydro boost in my 2005.
The brakes don t show any fluid leakage.
Double checked the vacuum lines thinking it might be the booster however the booster would make the brakes harder to push not softer and there weren t any issues with the lines.
I took the truck on a 30 minute drive the other day and on the way back home my brake light came on and.
The problem started when i had to apply the brakes quickly and that is when all the lights went on and the pedal went to the floor it was scary when it happened.
I fing know if the test procedure is the same but for mine they say to the truck off pump the pedal 5 times to release the pressure built up then hold you foot on the brake pedal and start the truck.
If the pedal is hard to push then maybe booster.
He is wanting 1800 for the hydro boost pump flushing the lines etc.
If you have exhausted all other problems check the axle bearings for play and replace any that are needed.
The pedal would just be hard to press.
It was once a week after it was driven on the highway 30 or so miles.

Hey guys i have a 1992 k1500 nothing done to it completely stock.
The truck brakes still work but the brake pedal has way too much travel now.
No change brakes still go to the floor they still work but they start working in the last 10 or so of pressing the pedal.
The pedal will go to the floor as the caliper fills with fluid to close the gap.
If no pressure builds up when pumping maybe wheel cylinder or caliper.
Does the pedal go to the floor with pressure on the pedal if so master cylinder.
Now it is way more frequent.
04 chevrolet express van has intermittent brake pedal going to the floor.
In this case it will take two or more brake pedal pumps to regain its normal operation.
