Considering the adapter lasted 17 years with 75 pound transfer case hanging off of it is impressive. So when i started removing the old the transfercase was caked with shit. I have this issue with my truck but i have narrowed the cause down to a gasket leak between the transmission and the tc i e. Can anyone verify that lack of the paper gasket between the transfer case and transmission will result in transmission fluid leak. I was thinking i could just bolt the one i already have on to the new tranny.

I m supposed to see the transmission expert tomorrow and i d like to be a little more sure of myself.
